Advanced Psychoanalytic Certification Program

NJI’s advanced psychoanalytic training follows the tripartite model

The program has been designed to to enrich the work of clinical practitioners and professionals in various disciplines by immersing them in psychoanalytic thought and practice. The program offers a multi-faceted approach in theory and technique. Our curriculum encompasses all schools of psychoanalytic thought, including Classical, Ego, Object Relations, Self Psychology, Relational and Intersubjective theories.

Program requirements:

  • 5 – year curriculum. Thirty courses.
  • Three controls. Two of 78 hours each. One of 52 hours.
  • 450 hours of personal analysis of which 150 hours have to be in a 3 times per week modality.
  • Candidates must remain in supervision until they have been certified as a psychoanalyst.
  • Upon acceptance into the program, it’s recommended that candidates become student members of NAAP
  • Upon completion of the program, the candidate will be awarded a certificate in Psychoanalysis.

Tuition and Fees:

  • Tuition per course $350.00
  • Registration, PACO and Pep-Web fees $ 115.00
  • Registered candidates pay a nominal fee to attend our fall conference and spring symposium. In addition, NJI offers many events that are free of charge
